Steven Herr, PhD

Chief Executive Officer

Steve is driven by a core belief that proven science for practitioners and coaches in healthcare can be infused in their practice without having data ruin the art of therapeutic alliance and shared decision making. When software and data act as aids in the synergy between the relationship between practitioners and client, rather than a burden, outcomes improve, data quality improves, and all stakeholders benefit. Steve has focused his energy on developing agile software that will meet the practitioner and patient where larger and more rigid systems fall short. He is able to do so through his role as CEO of Advanced Metrics.
Prior to his role at Advanced Metrics, Steve served as Director of the Clinical Outcomes Management Center at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he had the opportunity to work in a rich academic environment where research and evidence-based practices were paramount in software design and development.
Steve has been invited to speak at numerous conferences, symposiums, and workshops on the topic of outcomes management in behavioral health and science of implementation and clinical management.

Kate Gallagher

Operations

With 15 years of experience working with community benefit organizations, Kate has focused her energy around working with health and wellness initiatives, advocacy, and the empowerment of underserved populations. She founded and is president of coLAB, a collaborative consulting firm that helps organizations achieve their vision through sustainability and strategic planning and project management while focusing on community impact and outcomes. Kate has earned a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University.

 

 

 

Nathan Lubold

Director of Solution Implementation

Nathan (Nate) is the Director of Solution Implementation. Since he entered the field of behavioral health in 2004, Nate has gained a tremendous amount of experience as a clinician, administrator, and clinical supervisor. In recent years, Nate has focused his career on the science of implementation and training in behavioral health. After completing his master’s degree in 2004, Nate developed a full range of clinical experiences that have served him well in both developing and applying training/coaching curriculums to professionals working in behavioral health and other fields.
Nate is a certified Trained-Trainer for the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Scale. In addition, he is a nationally certified trainer Mental Health First Aid for both youth and adults and has most recently begun training organizational leaders in Social Entrepreneurship skill development.

Deena Minney

Business Support Coordinator

Deena comes to the Advanced Metrics Team as a Software Project Coordinator.  She has experience in both data collection and analysis. Deena offers support in testing applications and managing relationships to help clients achieve their goals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Millersville University.

Rebecca Raczka

Business & Outreach Manager

Rebecca joined the Advanced Metrics team as a Software Project Coordinator, bringing nearly 10 years of professional experience with her. She has a background in relationship focused project management, business development and sales. Rebecca is a recent graduate of the  Core Class of 2016 from Leadership Lancaster. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Communications.

Martha Shetrompf

Business Operations Specialist

Martha is the center of our administrative and compliance efforts at Advanced Metrics, providing administrative, receivables, and purchasing support to our team.  Martha also coordinates our efforts around documentation and compliance of all our partnerships and interactions.

Pamela Gimeson, CPA, CGMA

Director of Finance

Pam is Director of Finance for Advanced Metrics. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bluffton University. She has worked in the behavioral healthcare field since 2006 and has over 20 years of experience in accounting working for various privately held companies in the non-profit, insurance and distribution sectors.

Peg Schwartz, LCSW

Director of Behavioral Services at Community Services Group

Peg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is recognized in the state of Pennsylvania as a clinical leader for best practices in the field of MH/ID dual diagnosis. She is the Director of Behavioral Services at Community Services Group and is responsible for community based behavioral support and MH/ID dual diagnosis services across 16 counties in Pennsylvania. She has been working with people with mental health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities for over 20 years and has expertise in supporting families and individuals throughout the lifespan who are challenged by complex mental health disorders, intellectual / developmental disabilities, significant behavioral challenges, trauma, personality disorders, aging issues, autism, and genetic disorders. She is a nationally certified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and certified in Intensive Systems Therapy. She has spoken at local, state, national and international conferences on the topics of psychiatric and behavioral challenges, integrated care, older adults, and autism. She received her Master of Social Work from Marywood University.

Anna CK Erb, DSW

Behavioral Intervention Clinician

As a social worker with 20 years of experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health conditions, Dr. Erb possesses a diverse perspective of support provision from having worked as both a direct support and clinical professional. Her experience and education has demonstrated the values and benefits of employing evidenced-based approaches that support the whole person and aid individuals in developing healthy, self-determined lifestyles. Anna’s interests include: clinical intervention; team consultation; resource development as well as holistic and complementary therapeutic interventions. She speaks at conferences and has co-authored articles on the practical application of clinically indicated and empirically supported strategies. Anna is a licensed social worker and holds a Doctorate in Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania.

Linda Yaswen-Corkery, PhD

Academic Partner

Serving as the University of Maryland’s Senior Licensing Officer within the Office of Research and Development, Linda is a tremendous asset to the Advanced Metrics team. She brings more than 15 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, business development, marketing, and product commercialization, as well as a broad range of scientific and legal knowledge, business acumen, and decisive leadership ability.

Howard Dubowitz, MD

Scientific Advisor for SEEK Software

As an individual with just short of 40 years in the medical field, Howard brings a wealth of knowledge to the Advanced Metrics team. He is a practicing pediatrician, professor, and Chief of the Division of Child Protection in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Throughout his career, Howard has created numerous programs and teams committed to child protection and treatment for abused children. Additionally, he has written publications on the topics of child abuse and preventative measures, as well as books on research, practice, and policy for neglected children.

Rebecca L. Vivrette Ph.D.

Scientific Advisor

Rebecca Vivrette received her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2014 from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. She completed her graduate research training at the UCLA/Duke University National Center for Child Traumatic Stress under the mentorship of Robert Pynoos, M.D., and Alan Sternberg, Ph.D. Dr. Vivrette completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, with specialization in child and adolescent psychology.  She serves as an Evaluator for the Family Informed Trauma Treatment (FITT) Center, a Category II Center within the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, where she conducts research on child traumatic stress, particularly in the area of parent-child relationships, trauma, and poverty.

Thomas S. Lyons, PhD

Scientific Advisor for Entrepreneurship

As the Lawrence N. Field Family Chair in Entrepreneurship and Professor of Management in the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York, Thomas’ research focus is entrepreneurship and its role in community and regional economic development. He has authored, co-authored, or edited eleven books and numerous articles, book chapters, and technical reports on entrepreneurship, enterprise development, business incubation, and state and local economic development. Thomas was the 2011 recipient of the Community Development Society’s Ted K. Bradshaw Outstanding Research Award. He holds a doctorate in urban and regional planning from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and has worked as a practicing planner and an entrepreneur.

Li Juan Fang

Statistician

Li Juan Fang is a statistician with the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and an integral part of our program and data analysis efforts around children’s behavioral and emotional health treatment outcomes.

Jeff Bihy

Senior QA Analyst

Jeff brings 6+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer with R2integrated and TEKsystems. 1+ year of experience in web development. The knowledge gained from Jeff’s previous positions have led him to Advanced Metrics. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, it is his responsibility to ensure the developers follow the functional requirements, data points and the designs of the given project or solution throughout the agile life cycle and a quality product is provided to our clients. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors(fishing, hunting, softball) and supporting the local Baltimore/Maryland sports teams.

Krishna Sirimulla

Application Developer

Sai Krishna Sirimulla is a key part of Advanced Metrics growing Technology Team supporting our cutting-edge applications in human service coordination and home visiting support. Before joining Advanced Metrics, Krishna worked for a startup gaining experience in developing web applications, web service, and client/server applications built on Microsoft .NET technologies. Krishna enjoys learning and exploring new technologies that stretch him in new directions. He has a master’s Degree in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Tim Patterson

Technical Advisor and Programmer

Tim brings over two-decades worth of experience in Information Technology, Product Design and Development, and Software Engineering to a strategic role involved in enterprise development of security policies and procedures, data assurance, and compliance. Tim works with senior leadership and department heads to develop security and privacy practices compliant with state and federal laws. Tim also assumes responsibility for data assurance and infrastructure audits to guarantee physical security of systems, data and equipment. Based on his two decades as a software engineer, Tim will continue to provide support for coding and architecting new system initiatives guaranteed to Make Data Human.

Lin Varga

Administrative Executive

Lin is the Administrative Executive for Advanced Metrics and provides business operations support. She has worked in the behavioral healthcare field since 1985 and understands the challenges encountered by clinicians working with data. Lin is an integral part of the Advanced Metrics team.

Susan Blue, MSW

President and CEO of Community Services Group

Susan Blue is President and CEO of Community Services Group (CSG) and has held these positions since 1987. Under Susan’s leadership, CSG has grown to nearly 1,600 employees providing adult mental health, intellectual and developmental disability, children’s mental health, and autism services.

Alan J. Hartl, MS

CEO of Lenape Valley Trust

Serving as CEO at Lenape Valley Trust since 1992, Alan has been a tireless advocate for those with behavioral health needs. He is a board member of the National Council for Behavioral Health, re-elected in 2014 as a regional representative by member organizations located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Garrett Trout

CEO of TrueNorth Wellness Services

Garrett Trout is the CEO of TrueNorth Wellness Services, a provider of behavioral health and wellness services in South Central Pennsylvania. He has dedicated more than 23 years of service to the behavioral health field. Garrett is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Children Protection Service Law Implementation Team and Adams County Integrated Truancy Task Force.

Philip D. Hess, MHA

CEO Wellspan Philhaven

As a professional who has spent his entire professional career in the healthcare field, Philip is a tremendous asset to the Advanced Metrics board. In his role as CEO for Wellspan Philhaven, he has been a leader in fostering collaboration between Wellspan Philhaven and other providers that will better serve the mental health needs of more people in the community.

Mary McGrath

Emeritus CEO TrueNorth Wellness Services

Mary is a recently retired social worker with more than 32 years of clinical and administrative experience in the behavioral health field. Her graduate work in social work and public health was completed at Columbia University. Early in Mary’s career, she served as a medical social worker in a physical rehabilitation hospital.
